Easton L2/L1 Review

Temp: Low 60s
Wind: Out/Across in left at 5mph
Balls: Mixture of 52/300, 44/375, Apex Bullets, Tatoo rocks and ZNs
Bats: Easton L1 and Easton L2 both 27oz
Field: 315ft to Left 330 ft to center

Bat Feel: Both bats are 27oz and are withing .1 oz on the scale. With the stock grip removed the L1 is 27.0 and the L2 is 26.9. The L1 for whatever reason you can feel the endload much more and the bat swing much heavier. The L2 feels a lot more balanced and almost feels like a 26oz.

Bat breakin: The L2 was surprisingly hot out of the wrapper. The first couple of swings hit the sweet spot and the ball came off surprisingly hot. In my first round I had a couple of mis-hits and the L2 stung my hands pretty good. Around 50 swings the stinging on mi****s disappeared. The L1 was really stiff probably the first 100-150 swings before it opened up.

Bat Performance: The L2 has been hyped a ton already and it lived up to the hype. I cant remember a USSSA Easton that was this hot out of the wrapper. The ball sounds great off the L2 it sounds like a shotgun even after 150 swings. After the first day of bp the L2 has 150-200 swings on it and its already game ready. Though it has zero webbing, a little love from Mr. Magic Eraser and it could pass for NOW. The exit speed is really impressive. LF is 315 and that last ball in the video cleared the white tree, and probably went 330 maybe 340. What really gets me excited is it shows none of the normal signs of a broken in Easton, I'm really excited to see what it can do after 500 or 1000 swings. For those of you that bought the L1 don't worry. As much as people are hyping the L2 the L1 is still a legit bat. Mine has 500-600 swings on it and it was just a little behind my L2. The L2 has a much softer barrel feel and sounds much quieter sound as you can hear in the video.

First video was the first 30 swings out of the wrapper. 2nd video was the last of the day first 10 or so were L1 then the rest L2
