Outfield line: advice on this new rule for co-ed softball league

I play in a Town league that doesn't play by ASA rules, but follows most of them. One rule that has been intiated this season, is an outfield line at 200 feet. The rule is that the outfield must stay behind the red line until the ball is hit. Does anyone have any advice as far as infield placement, etc. to try and help the defense?

That's just to give the girls a chance, just let them hit and play normal and you'll be fine.

Just the dudes have to play behind the line correct? If so play your girls in the holes in the infield and back just a bit. On weak girl hitters have your dudes run in right at contact.

Our co-ed league, all fielders behind the line til hit(for ladies AB's) and IF in front of the grass. For guys AB's, the line does not matter so I will occasionally play in front of it on some batters. Just be ready to charge in.

I love it when the girls crush it regardless of the team.

I chime in like everyone else in here. We have a line for our girls for the co-ed teams. The line is pretty much there to allow the ladies a chance to hit and get on base. They get a little offended when the entire teams stacks the infield and they cannot hit. It makes the ladies all happy when they can bloop one just out of the reach of the infielders and make it one base.

We have same out here, just be ready to run in. Although we have some girls out here that you have to play normal depth or you will get burnt.

Just remember, let the girls play, it is coed and just for fun
