Is the Lady Virus Legal?

I'm going to be playing GSL for the first time this fall. I have a Combat Lady Virus that has all its stamps (including USSSA and NSA). Is this bat legal to use in GSL?

from their website:

GSL recognizes only USSSA and/or NSA licensed/approved softball bats.
The official softball used in championship play will be a GSL stamped, Apex 50/375 Core softball (size according to program played).

GSL reserves the right to make changes or withdraw any approval or disapproval of any equipment at any time should in GSL’s determination change the game, effect the safety of participants or spectators, or creates a player’s performance to be more a product of the equipment rather than their individual skill.
So my guess is no it is not legal.

I figured the same, but I wanted to ask just in case.

Anyone else know?

Are you looking for someone to say it is legal? If so it is totally legal... but thats just me saying it. Since it states on their website they go by Utrip and NSA approved bats I think you know the answer

I'm looking for someone to give something more specific. Like a list of 1.20 stamped bats not approved for play in GSL.

USSSA no longer updates their approved bat list, so that list should not be able to be used as a real list anymore. The LV is on the NSA non-approved list, so that's probably my answer, but it's still not definitive.

You'd think, but you'd be surprised by some of the things I've seen... don't want to post the specifics, but I'll PM it to you.

They won't know, and with a Lady in the name they will laugh at you behind your back...until you hit the ball. That alone makes it all worth it.

Yeah... they probably won't know, but I wanted to know for sure.

I've seen USSSA and ASA umpires do bat checks and not remove LV's.

You may be able to get away with it, but we both know it's not approved for utrip or NSA.

I'm 99% sure I could get away with it, but I'm just checking to see if it's actually allowed. I actually just went on the GSL website and sent them an email asking for clarification on the Lady Virus, so I'll wait and see what they say.

Ok, so I emailed GSL softball on their website this morning and they already got back to me. Here is what they said:

"Is the Combat Lady Virus softball bat approved for use in GSL softball events? It has the USSSA 1.20 BPF and NSA stamps, but I do not believe it is on their approved list. …..it is not legal !!"

My question is in regular font and GSL's response is in bold. So the case is closed, the LV is not legal in GSL.

You managed to not read my post above yours where I already gave the official answer that GSL emailed me today...
