Barrel Sleeve

    So what is the purpose of the sleeve in the barrel that's attached to the end cap. I've seen the inside of an 18 ASA Harvey and was curious to its purpose.

    It’s a performance tool.

    The outer barrel is thinner and it deflects energy into the more reactive inner barrel, which transfers back to the outer barrel. Two barrels transfer energy back to the ball and increase performance.

    It’s like jumping on a trampoline, and a giant springboard is sitting under the trampoline. If you’re able to come down far enough, the spring board will push you up with more energy, because the two combined increase the rebound effect.

    Pretty much it’s what the new 2018 ASA bat has.
