Anyone have a bubba club that would not break in? I just got back from GSL worlds in vegas and my club tested 440 he tried it 3 times and got the same number. He said most of the other ones he tested failed. Im wondering if maybe i just need to send it back or maybe it will get going thing is an absolute turd right now has about 500 swings in cooler weather? Anyone else had this happen?

440 sounds like a defect in the bat.

    Sounds like a defective tester.

That bat will take 4,000 swings to break in.

That was kinda what I thought you might say I've been swinging the 26 with 1oz el. Only thing that I can see being different is weight and loading, so must be a defect or maybe the 28s are just taking more to break in

I was gaming my 28 after just 2 BP sessions. It was webbed up quite a bit after only a few hits.

Not saying it wont web up but that doesnt mean its breaking in correctly, which is what I'm guessing the case is with his.

I've had a couple Eastons that were this way. Stiff as absolute hell and just never broke in. I either got rid of them or ended up breaking them in BP. 440 is excessively stiff for any bat. I know I've never had a bat test that high.

The newer Eastons should be in the upper 200s or low 300s out of the wrapper.

I have a lx.o dual stamp that is like this. Has easily 2k hits all with classic ms or 44 400s and it still kills the hands, and the distance is similar to my single wall Dudley from the early 90s

My 16 wegman didn't test anywhere near that high. I think the tester or operator are defective.

Yeah I've never seen a bat test that high either, but have had a couple that just wouldn't break in.

Wegman and Mizuno envy are the only ones I've had where I don't feel it was my fault. Well, wegman could be because I don't swing hard enough. I don't think it was defective, just an old Easton. Envy wrung your hands everywhere on the barrel. To many people swore by that bat for it to have not been defective imo .

One of the longest balls I've seen hit in person came off an Envy.
But yeah, even the people that liked them still complained about their hands stinging.
