bkc made a good point about making a feedback rating for buyers/sellers here attached to their username. I can do this fairly easily. What do you guys envision? Being able to rate someone on a deal on a 1-10 scale? Give them a simple "good" or "bad" rating? eBay has a good/bad deal I believe that shows how many good with how many bad type deal. What do you guys think is best?

Your the man with the plan. Whatever you feel is best likely is. Good/bad sounds good to me. Thanks for keeping an open mind and good luck with the store bro.

I don't think 1-10 is a good thing because someone could try to bash someone and give them a 1 which would really hurt their rating. I like the good and bad idea or something similar to that.

I agree and prefer a good/bad rating. I think overall it is best for a variety of reasons. I'll put something together here shortly.

I agree with princey22, good/bad is a better way to go than a 1 - 10 rating. Also, the total number of posts for good and bad should be shown including the dates of the post and with a comments section. What do you think, Coach?

I think the good/bad idea is the way to go. It would be helpful to have a comment field if that is possible.

I think good/bad with the addition of neutral and a small comments sections is the way to go. Sometimes a deal takes a long time but the product is better than described, etc., and you don't want to say good but you don't want to say bad. That would allow for extenuating circumstances.

For example I remember a guy on here apologizing for the slowness of his deal saying his father had a heart attack. If everything I received was exactly as described, but a week or two late, I would rather put a neutral, list the reason, and let you decide if you believe him. I wouldn't want to put a good or a bad on this type of deal unless I was fairly certain he was telling the truth or lying.

    Just my $.02.

i think if there is a way you could include this on the username profile such as
a section called "dealer info" or "deals"
you could click on that and then it could be broken down inside that section and people could make comments.

I agree with Jbo. Good, neutral, bad is the best way to go.

One other thing to throw at you...

How about in the Buyer/Seller Feedback a sticky that details the steps necssary in trying to recoup losses for deals gone bad. A list of who the wronged party should contact after getting scammed, taken, etc.

Could we possibly split the Softball Bats section in to "wanted" and "For Sale / Trade" sections?

how about a user review section like the bats.

that way when someone is going to deal they can look up that users feedback reviews.to me that would be better than ratings because it would require the reviewers to explain why they rated another user what they did.

    Positive
    Neutral
    Negative

I think that keeps it very simple. You can have comments or something too.

Is there a way that feedback can be kept in user's profiles?? It would be easier to find. Sort of like ebay in a way. It would be sooooooo much easier to research sellers and buyers.
    Thanks!!
