Has anyone hit both and how do they compare?
'13 OG Black and Gold AM vs
'17 All American Athletics LE RD28 (made to the same specs).
My '13's are stright up the BEST I have hit since playing with the OG Ultra/UII. Just wondering if I just keep looking for the '13, or if the RD I have is worth breaking in for back up.
    Thanks.

I hit one of the 17 RDs for a few ABs...wasn't (isn't) worth buying new vs the older AMs in my opinion. never hit a black and gold but my fave was the green barrel flip.

I bought a Rd28. And it fits my swing so well that it is my favorite bat. If you like the older flippers and don’t want to pay the new in wrapper price for them the RD isn’t a bad option

Are they still midload? I didn't see anything in description about loading

Same loading as the Flipper. Felt and swung the exact same as them.

So it’s an Aftermath rebranded as an RD28 ?

Apparently made to same specs as the AM, but if you ask Demarini/rep they will probably say (Not rebranded, it's a RD)

That’s what it reads like, sorry if I’m late to the party ...

Divergence barrel with an alloy handle will not feel like the OG Stacked RD28

That’s being said, I wish it came in a 30oz

RD28 is the same exact specs as the '13 Black/Gold Flipper, per owner of the company who sells the bat.

I like the Og 2017. Nice bat. It’s time to rant.

I don’t know what OG is supposed to infer. OG was indicative of higher status in violent organized gang culture.

But, now it’s pasted on underhand toss sports equipment for dudes in their late thirties. Marketing department leadership thinks our demographic finds it appealing.

Whatever, I’m going to bed. Flipper AM OG. Stupid name.

Only meant that the new RD wasn't like the old RD at all

Yeah. I 'm just saying your review is good news for some... Bad news for RD28 guys. Good news for 2013 Aftermath guys.

Very similar but I’m partial to the blue OG flipper. I personally think everyone loved the black/gold so much but forget that most ASA ball still was using 44s are the time. Anyway, it’s a great bat... definitely chose it over the iconic just due to the weighting but I have a blue flip with 1k+ swings I’m gaming and don’t have much time for bp anymore so I’m parting with this one:/

44's are what prematurely killed my first 13 am, that was just b4 we switched to 52's here still got about 1200 hits out of if with a seam on it for most of its time..

Want to try the rd side by side but idk I have a few niw bats that I need to get some swings on, but my trusty 15 usam is silly with approx 3000 hits on it... hard to go up to the plate with something that needs some work on it..lol
