    story time

when i went and got fitted last march/april i got fitted into AP1s with a lightweight 85g stiff flex shaft. same with the hybrid, lighter shaft. i started noticing pulls and just weird flights at the end if the summer.
black friday deal for another well respected fitter here. 50% off a lifetime fitting. why not since my swing has changed a lot over the year, picked up some more speed and taken the slice out of it. so i went in and the guy measured my clubs. lengths, flexes, weights, etc. turns out the "stiff" flex shafts i had in my irons were playing at a ladies flex bordering on a junior flex. same with the hybrid.
rifle has their system 5.5 is regular, 6.5 is stiff, 7.5 is xstiff and everything in between. my irons were measuring at 2.7 and my hybrid was at 3.4. junior is 2.5 and ladies is 3.5.
we decided to move up to 120g iron shafts, 80g hybrid, 70g 3W, and 65g driver weights.

around christmas time globalgolf had one of there 20% off any 1 item days. they had the JPX900 forgeds marked down to $600 for a 4-GW set. threw in the code and it was down to $450 with free shipping. so these ended up in the bag late last year. played with them a few times so far and they are so ****ing nice. got DG S300 120g shafts in them and my dispersion tightened up so much.

Nice man. I found a guy locally that does lessons and is cheap. He’s been doing it for 30 years.

Nice irons, man. I think tnbow got fit into those 900s too. Sucks about the other shaft though. What brand were those shafts? Did Titleist install them?

I got fit into the hot metals... I needed more of a game improvement iron. I did hit the forged 900’s ok but I haven’t quite reached the point of learning to work the ball. I love mine.

for 450$ this summer a course local is letting first time members join but they can only play after noon each day. I tee off late anyway I think I may do that.
