has anyone swung one? Waiting for mine to come in (26.5) and wanted to see what everyone though?
Why would anyone buy a 13" barreled asa bat that isn't named aftermath?
just hit my omega for a quick round of bp...felt like a
juggy to me...just a stiffer handle. will try an iconic when i can get a good deal on one...
Never been a fan of the aftermath. More of a
juggy feel kinda guy. I missed the boat on the omega, so I picked up the iconic.
If you get yours b4 round 2 shipments come in.. let me know!
I am a
juggy guy as well so i don't swing either. Just saying there is no way the iconic is going to be better with 52s. Just another useless exclusive
Mine will be here tomorrow. I hit the demo and it was very nice.
How would you compare it to the omega?
^^^^ So true its not even funny
Agreed, I hit the Cluggy for ASA and its virtually the same, which isnt a bad thing at all for me
It's better for the 52's for sure. Not sure how many hits the demo I swung had though. The feel was a mix of the insane and aftermath. I can give a more detailed review once I get some swings on mine.
There was mention that it kinda hits like the newbreed... I didn't find that to be the case... Then again, I didn't have solid pitching to keep me from swinging at outside pitches the whole time.
Look forward to reading what you think about it...
so why would you get a bat with an alloy handle then?
x2, didnt think it was like the
Newbreed at all. If I had to label it, I am sticking with calling it a "dual stamped cluggy"
Bc i like to try new bats. Why I tried Monsta and you yuppies still swing Easton.
the iconic is for ASA only.. id imagine it would be fire with the 52's
let us know!
i don't swing easton
I did not realize that... Interesting. I wasn't overly impressed with the omega during my limited BP session...
Omega is dual stamp so it probably won't hit the 52s as well (assuming you were hitting 52s). I should be getting my Iconic today
There are plenty of asa only bats that aren't "fire".
I was hitting a mix of 52s,44s and 47s. It wasn't particularly noteworthy compared to the flippers or the new breed (the only demarini utrip I have extended time with)...in it's defense, it was brand new but I preferred the feel of the
flipper (brand new) and even the
true. but most of Demar ASA are fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I only got 8 swings on mine tonight. Feels very good, like the baby of the insane and aftermath. Was really good out of the wrapper, and has a nice end load on it. Would highly recommend it to anyone on the fence about it.
Sounds interesting... Of course my inner bat whore will demand this after reading/seeing more reviews, I'm sure.
I stopped fighting my inner bat whore a long time ago.
are we talking about our inner demons or out Wif..... nevermind.
It's basically the love child between the Insane and AMs with a progressive endload and a divergent barrel. It's really hard to gauge what a bat does in a game with around 4-5 ABs....it's not like your gonna get the best pitching in the world. I usually don't compare DeMarinis to other DeMarinis...they're not the same...that's why there's all these different models. The cuts I've had on mine came with good results, and even got questioned about it being altered. Farthest from the truth...use it in a BP sesh and then make your judgment. But also keep in mind that 90%+ balls used in BP are almost dead!!!
So its a stiff composite handle and a divergent barrel with progressive endloading? Interesting.....Chile pick up a 26 and send it to me for demo! lol
I'll wait and see on this one... Well, at least till the price goes down. Wasn't dazzled by the omega...trying out an insane at the moment. So far, for asa demarinis, flippers > non-flippers for me.
