Teach them fundamentals of the game and always have them moving. The more reps the better. I've watched alot of coaches/practices where all the coach does is pitch batting practice while the rest of the team stood in their positions the whole practice doing nothing. I've seen practices where some kids only get the ball hit to them once or twice.

    Break them up into groups:

    Offensively:
stations for hitting off the tee
    stations for bunting
station with heavy balls (front toss with total control balls)
baserunning baserunning baserunning (teach them the runners lane, leading off in foul territory on 3b then going back in fair territory etc)

    Defensively:
    Infield;
    Routine ground balls
    Glove side
    backhand

    Outfield:
    Fly balls right at them
    fly balls to glove side
    fly balls to hand side
fly balls behind and step backs
picking up a ball that is not moving with their hand and not their glove
    relays
    cutoffs
    backup throws
fly balls between outfielders to teach communication

At that level/age I wouldn't focus on any fancy drills. I'd stick to fundamentals and focusing on getting them as many reps as possible at each practice. Unless this is an elite travel team.

    Hope this helps.
