You gotta get some more BP in kid. Stop moving you're feet around too, you aren't built like Warpath.

be thankful that you can still play regularly or look at it as your getting all this extra practice while us folk on the east coast deal with the cold. kinda like the saying, a bad day of fishing is still better than a good day of work.

Slow down your swing and work on your contact instead of killing the ball...I have the same problem every BP session after winter hibernation :p

When I'm hitting handle I'm waiting to late to swing or my swing is slow . Try hitting the ball further in front of the plate. Concentrate hard on the ball and try not to care where it goes ( no peaking). Just hit it solid. During BP try half swings and meeting the ball solid on the sweet spot. Worked for me.

Have you tried releasing your top hand immediately after contact?

Stop sucking, or just cut the sleeves off your shirt.

I'll try to set somethin up next week for ya. There's tons of room for improvement in your swing, it's very inconsistent. Not to put you on blast but I know you could do much better bro! I'll get you to focus on making solid contact and hitting up the middle and RS. You should be base hitting ALL DAY.
Exactly. And turning on a pitch doesn't mean move your feet back 3ft. I can hit balls that would hit my left knee down the LF line.

Keep your eyes on the ball, slow down your arms, use your top hand like your swinging a hammer.

What I do is take a milk crate of balls and go to the field. I just toss them to myself and focus on hitting the ball in the same spot as a line drive. I don't like pulling the ball much so I start in LC and hit a crate of balls to that spot. Then go fetch them and do the same thing in center/RC/R or however you want. It's important to try to hit line drives to help with your consistancy. Not only does this help your machanics but also gives you a chance to break in a bat. I got 1400 plus hit on my catty that way. I stated to do this last season and I had the best hitting season yet. Good luck.
