I'm transitioning from Combat to Easton. For the past several years i have been swing the combat 2-piece bats. I have just picked up a 2 piece Ronin to swing of the rest of the winter and into the summer. For the price I figured it'd be something worth trying since it should have several hundred swings on it by end of march when things pick up around here. My question for any of you that have tried them is: What can I expect out of this bat? Of course i'm not expecting something comparable to a $300 bat, but I really don't know what to expect at all...

It's a good bat I loved mine it was around 600 cuts using 52/300s and some Classic Ms. Didn't take long to break in and the bat was just Fire everything big sweet spot. Good bat all around has been slept on all year

Any idea what it tested after that many swings?

No idea, we don't test to much around here at tournies or leagues. But for the price it's worth a pick up I think

I have been on the hunt for a 2017 Ronin for a month or so. It seems that there are some deals if you are patient.

I haven't ever swung a 2 piece before and wondered the major differences. Does anyone have feedback on 1 piece versus 2?

I've swung just about every imx composite they've made except the ronin and Easton 1pc bats always seem very stiff and unforgiving to me. Much smaller sweet spot and a lot more vibration. The ronin seems to be a lot better version of the imx though by the compression numbers and reviews I've seen, so may not be the same as previous models

1piece is stiffer to start I've had Both and Both are great bats. The 2 piece is a 13" barrel and the 1 piece is 12" barrel, yeah the sweet spot is smaller on the 1 piece as well. That being said it would probably be based off barrel size I felt as if the 2pc is around the Baker in terms of performance and feel.

Alright I got to get out and put a few swings on the 2 pc ronin. The bat is 26oz, was supposed to be a 27 but I guess I ordered it wrong. Oh well the weight actually feels fine. 60 degrees with 5 mph wind blowing in on me. I was just tossing them up to myself just wanted to test it out. I put 75 swings with random balls out of storage. 6 girls balls, 3 yellow classic m, 8 Wal-Mart. 44/375 balls, and some white balls that are 6-10 yrs old. These are my first swings in a year and a half. Right out of the gate I thought performance was great especially for $75. Field was 310 to left with 10 ft fence. Girls balls went out easy. But didn't hit any of the 12" out. The one gold dot extreme I had absolutely was a rocket off this thing. Seemed to have a ping sound at first but by the end there was more of a crisp crack sound. Barrel was forgiving and allowed me to know where I hit every ball without any stinging. As of right if I was playing with classic ms under 75 degrees I wouldn't hesitate to swing this at all. My only experience with Easton has been performance drop in the summer so when it gets hot we will see how this does.

Make that 125 swings. At this point I'm completely confident to use this as my gamer. If the flex line is better than this..WOW..y'all better watch out when I get my hands on a baker lol

just got the 2018 2 pc ronin. They went with TCT flex composite on the 2018 model. I hit about 10 balls off a tee in the garage last night just to see how it felt. Bat feels very good. No ping sound out of the wrapper. ball seemed to jump a lot better than last years model out of the wrapper. will update this evening after some live swings.

went and put about 60 swings on it during lunch. Bat definitely feels better out of the wrapper. performance wasnt really there yet. came off good but no where near gamer status. the weighting (in my opinion) is slightly more endloaded than the baker. the feel is unique though. ,

    Nice bat!

How did you break a Kirby? Why’d you send it in? Just curious.

Even though they’re hotter out of wrapper, they still hold up nicely.
