Beckett, Gonzalez, & Crawford to the Dodgers.......

Looks like there is a deal in the works and it has a pretty good chance of happening. The dodgers apparently are talking about sending back 4 top prospects and possibly loney while the red sox would give up some $$$ to help things work. LA's new ownership is not afraid to drop some $$$

wow  That'd be one heck of a trade if they could get it off. Maybe Crawford would heal up real fast if he got away from the fans booing him in Boston.

Allen Webster, Rubby De LaRosa, Zach Lee, and Jerry Sands are the 4 prospects mentioned and I believe Loney could be part of it as well and Nick Punto goes to the Dodgers also

A Gonzales already on his way to la the dodgers were just awarded him thru waivers

They are revocable waivers ... the Red Sox can either let him go for nothing, work out a trade with the Dodgers, or pull him back.

Right now they are really working on this deal. Talk about gutting an entire team.

All kinds of insanity. Please take John Lackey's contract too.

Red Sox, Dodgers Nearing Blockbuster

By Ben Nicholson-Smith [August 24 at 6:45pm CST]
6:45pm: The Dodgers have agreed to send Webster, De La Rosa, Loney, Sands, and De Jesus to the Red Sox, a source tells Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports (via Twitter). Meanwhile, a source tells Rob Bradford of WEEI (Twitter link) not to expect a deal to be completed tonight.
6:42pm: The Red Sox have yet to secure permission from Beckett, who has 10-and-5 rights, or Crawford, who has a partial no-trade clause, a source tells Sean McAdam of CSNNE.com. However, neither player is expected to block the deal.

Feel bad for the Pirates. This totally screws them unless the Dodgers win their division and they fight out the wildcard with the Giants.

Beckett will prolly be lights out for the Dodgers lol. I can't imagine the club has made themselves appear as an attractive destination for free agents with their treatment of Gonzalez.

The deal is done and will be announced today.. So proud to be a Dodger fan and have owners that actually will spend.. Amazing what Ned Colleti can do with a big budget.
