"New" stamp Utrip vs ASA bats: final verdict?

Which best "new" stamp bats are hotter, ASA or Utrip?

Now that "new" stamp ASA and Utrip bats have been out for several years, people should have enough experience with both to say which is hotter.

When new stamp ASA only bats came out, we were led to believe that they were "too hot" for Utrip. I disagree, completely. I'll still take my best Utrip bats over my best ASA bats with any ball type, 52s included.

That's just my opinion though, I want to see what others think. I added to poll to this thread to get some numbers.

i had 2 bhose 1 asa and 1 utrip. the asa is slightly hotter against 52's. we hit a few classic m's with my aftermath and boogeyman and they were outhitting a watermelon and freak black.

Considering all the hype ASA only had when it came out, you would have expected 90%+ for ASA by now. Only 17 votes in so far though, so too early to tell.

I wonder how many people who voted actually play both ASA and Utrip as opposed to those just blindly voted based on the association that play.

It would be interesting to hear someone like LSX Freak point of view who is constantly demo'ing bats

I play both, have swung a lot of bats for both assoc. Agreed I'd like LSX to chime in, maybe we can convince him to take his favorite ASAs and USSSA/NSAs and do a side by side performance review on his youtube channel with a variety of ball types.

I play both and have swung a ton of different bats. The edge always goes to my j3 j4 and aftermaths. I'm not saying its a 40' difference but it is noticeable. My freak 30 is close but still not there.

I play both. My ASA allows he USSSA bats as well. I swing the Utrip over my ASAs, including my Juggy.

Well I have an OG Aftermath and a DNA both pretty well broken in. I have a freak30 with scheduled delivery on Monday that will need some swings on it but I'm curious now because of this thread to see the comparison in distance even if the 30 is just out of the wrapper. Maybe I'll record it.

i think you won't get a real good comparison until this year with the mikens and worths that will be comparable. demarini has been at the top of the ASA game for a few years now, but not so good in USSSA. miken/worth have owned USSSA lately and just ok in ASA. demarinis don't swing like miken/worths.

with miken/worth getting into the non-linear game, you'll be able to compare apples to apples with the platinum/DC-41 and EST lines being similar in how they swing across both stamps.

the best way to do a real comparison now would be to swing the helmer flex or reckoning eastons against each other ASA vs NSA/USSSA

This always makes me wonder why all usssa aren't asa approved or vice versa. Just bat companies profiting from forcing people to buy 2 bats ?

Absolutely. One has to be higher, meaning the other is lower and bats with their stamp are legal in both.

Freak 30 is the hottest utrip I've swung since my og DC psycho. My ASA wanted was still hotter with the same balls. Noticably, accused of being shaved, mad they didn't have one hotter.

We play gsl up here, and I thought they were close until we played wsl in the middle of the summer. Freak 30 couldn't keep up when the ball wasn't as hard.

Some may hate this thread, but I'm also super interested to know the same. Some tournaments here allow ANYTHING except senior bats. Is there really anything (past or present) that is better than a current top tier ASA bat vs 44s or 52s? Banned bats included.

Personally, I believe a hitter is going to hit with anything that is comfortable in his/her hands. A hitter doesn't need to depend on the equipment to be successful

My ASA wanted was the hottest bat I've ever swung, but it wasn't so much ahead of to tier utrip stuff that I'd pay a ridiculous amount for one. If you have a good utrip or ASA bat you like us just stick with that. I had to put og Easton number of swings on that wanted to get it that hit and by that point it may have been more about my swing changing to the bat than anything.

My 2k plus swing Lady Virus would be 30-40 feet further than any bat I've ever hit, old or new.
