    Senior bats

It may be easy for you and some 50 or 60 year olds but not for all. While in Florida this past 10 days I played in three tournaments. In all of those games there were only three guys that hit home runs, two were on my team. As we grow old its not that common to see home runs.

I agree. Just because it feels good in your hands does not make it the best bat for you. Now, finding what makes it the best bat for you could be a very long procedure.

    Senior bats

Just back from 3 tournaments, 9 days in Florida. In our last tournament in Ft Myers I decided to swing my Suncoast Reload. Fences at Lee county complex were 300' so I felt comfident. I've posted here that my white Hitman 44 has more pop than my Reload but thought the Reload was enough with a...

    Senior bats

While in Myrtle Beach this week I talked to a Dudley rep that was set up at the Grand complex. He had a few senior Maxload Dooms and said the price was $99. I asked if he had a 28 but he only had 26 and 27. I asked about the differences between the Senior and utrip models and he said the senior...

I saw that. That's what confused me. Do you think Spaulding.com is legitimate?

My bad, the maxload is a Utrip model. I guess I now have a bat for our utrip league and bp. Depending on how good they are I might use them for ISSSA.

    Senior bats

I enjoy looking for discounted bats. I swing heavy endloaded bats, as heavy as 30oz but now days most bat companies heaviest bats are 27, 28 or 28.5. I have heard of the Dudley Doom, first as a utrip model but now I find three or four model SSUSA approved 1.21 Dooms. I'm especially interested...

    Offseason Rituals

I try to hit off my tee 5 times a week. There are senior tournaments about once a month plus Florida Half Century the first weekend of each month.

    Senior bats

I went with Suncoast for a year or so. I first went with the End load Diamond. Next was the End load Melee 3 then the Reload. The Diamond had too much flex in the handle, the Melee 3 just didn't seem to have the distance that I was looking for. The Reload seemed to fit the bill. Then I got...

    Senior bats

I have put down my Suncoast Reload and now use my Easton Hitman 44. I did break my first one in Las Vegas last Tuesday during bp. I did bring a backup so I didn't miss a beat. The first one probably had 8-900 swings. Moving forward I plan to hold down swings in bp.

    Broomsticks for bats

Big drafty, I feel your pain. In the 70's I swung a 35oz easton. Up until 10 years ago I used a 30oz. Then it was almost impossible to find them. I went to a 29 and now 28.5 with a full load. Many think a 25 is the way to go. I just chuckle to myself and continue with me heavy bats. As for long...

    Tee thread?

I did hit Tuesday morning. About half way through my 100 balls I decided to put a little more torque in my swing. Beginning my stride I pretended to show the pitcher my back pocket and then finish by showing him my front pocket. I saw an additional 10 feet more distance! On about the 15th ball...

    Tee thread?

I plan to hit this morning, should be in the high 80's. I'm also running steps, trying to increase my stamina for our tournament in Las Vegas mid September.

    Tee thread?

Props to you for putting in the swings! I hit 100 off me tee this morning. I haven't hit in 3 weeks because of a pulled hamstring. Now it is almost healed. I need to remember to swing less hard with my arms and to use my wrists max amount. I'm trying to break in my second Easton Hitman 44...

    Bargain basement bats

I forgot to mention, my .909 obp was third on our team. Two of my teammates made one out each!

Fields at Potomac Lakes were 300'. I don't have a problem with Baden Fires.

    Bargain basement bats

This past week at the Eastern Nationals I made the decision to swing my $49 Easton Hitman44 instead of my Suncoast Reload. I'm glad I did! I battled .909 with 5 homeruns. :)

    Bargain basement bats

The second or third year Dudley Lightnings were out David Bowen Sporting Goods in Pensacola discounted them at their tent at a senior tournament. I bought 3 at $139 each. The past couple of years I've been buying Easton Helmer Hitman44 at prices ranging from $49.99 to $99. I Have 3, two still...
