I have the 454 and used the FX700 in a tourney recently. The distance is pretty similar, but the 454 has a much better feel to the barrel and a larger sweetspot.

I had a DST that did the same thing, you will continue to get spiral cracks until it snaps...mine lasted about 75 swings.

This bat lasts forever, if it has 3-400 hits it isn't even broke in! Should have bought it and asked for forgiveness later.

The SCX3 is a great bat, but swings much different than a JH98, depends on what type of bat you perfer. If it was me, I would already have the easton!

Depends on the location and direction of the crack, some will last a while, some break fast...but it was only 25 bucks and returnable, nothing hurt there.

The reveals seem to be hit or miss, some love them, some hate them. But, considering the price you got it for, you didn't get hurt, and the return is worth the investment.

I would consider one of the DC Psycho's, but the MV-1 is a great bat.
