i have both bats and i prefer my recoil over the maniac. it sounds like your recoil isn't broken in. the maniac does hit solid but look out when the recoil gets broke it! trust me you will know it!

i have read alot ab out the psycho's and some people really like the dc's. i'm thinkin between the psycho models and the freak models(freak + or freak LE).
