These things are fantastic. We use them to warm up before every game, 10-15 cuts and you are ready to go. If you don't hit it square, they don't fly.

This is incorrect. I never reached for the ball on the ground. The contact to my ribs occurred because my glove was above my head attempting to make the play. Had the ball hit the ground, I would have bent over to grab it, with my glove down, therefore my left arm would have protected my sides.
