26 oz st100 weighs 25.1!!

Picked up an st100 locally and the sticker weight is 26 and it weighed in at 25.1 with no grip. Is this legit or should I be concerned?

I would be a bit concerned...i have never had an easton more than .3oz off the weight it was supposed to be. And i have had around 50-60 eastons.

that's a shaver bud, sorry, 25.7-26.1 would be were most Easton's would hover around without a grip.

A full oz though? Never seen an Easton that bad. If it were a Miken or LS i wouldnt be worried.

Friend had a 100H that weighed 25.7 with tape grip. Are you sure your scale is accurate?

I personally saw 2 26ST100s NIW with no grip weigh 25.4 on scale beginning of last year

I have personally weighed over 12 100h's, st100's and 100w's and none of them have been more than .3 off with my scale. Not saying you are lying, but your scale may be off. Maybe mine is off...but in a more correct way?

Correct me if I'm wrong but if someone is gonna shave a bat won't it take more than just .5 of an oz off? Wouldn't they be weighing 24ish

That is very true, but many people put some sort of epoxy in the new endcap or rods in the handles to get the scale weight close so as to not arouse suspicion. Crap like that.

My scale, 26oz l1 tape grip 25.4.
26oz sy100w 25.5 no grip
26oz sy100w 25.6 tape
26oz sy100w 25.9 factory grip
27oz l3 26.5

So it could not be shaved, if your scale is off a little bit. Weight some of your other bats and see if it's reading low. Or test the scale with something you know the weight of.

Have you tried swinging it. If it's a cut st100 that would be absolutely stupid Hott. If your balls are going 40-50 ft farther than normal chances are it's been cut !

The 12' line came in underweight, but not by that much. Check on another scale just to be sure. If it verifies your scale, return.

I had to double check but how does the 26oz st100h weigh a little less than the 26oz st100? I thought the el bats are supposed to be slightly heavier. I'm just going off of the scale weight from the pics on the other page.
