.52/300 vs Classic Plus.

Just curious if anyone has hit both with the same bat and noticed a difference. It’s not important, but I’m curious. I have an ASA league that I can play a few games in and a bucket with Classic Pluses snd Classic M’s. I’m probably going to the replace the M’s with .52/300 Spinners just for durability’s sake regardless, but I was wondering if the .52/300’s performed noticeably better than a .52/275, or if it was more just on paper. Thanks.

They're the same ball, same as 44/375 and 44/400 are the same balls. Every manufacturer says their tolerances are not such that they can make two different balls for those standards.

But they could sort them. If they cared. Test each ball and put anything under 275 in the Classic plus pile and anything over 275 in the ASA pile. Charge more money, and sell more balls. Between 260 and 275 you could sell as Pluses at a premium price and below 260 sell as Pluses as a budget ball.

But I don’t know if they do, and I don’t know if it would matter. Sounds like they probably do not.

There is no difference between the balls. A USSSA C+ is .52/300 plus or minus 25. A USA .52/300 is plus or minus 50.

Yeah, this is exactly what I would have said. I've hit both .52 300s and C+ balls extensively. Certain brands are better than others, but they really are the same exact cor/compression.
