Just an idea. If you played on baseball fields, would that work out evenly. Bring your U2's, senior bats, shaved bats, and hit Stadiums, .44 525's, Launch 650's or whatever. Maybe use a pitching screen.
Sounds fun to me. Good idea or bad.

Bad idea, but not just because hitting them out still wouldn't be too difficult for most good hitters. That combination of bat and ball is just asking for trips to the hospital, and not just for the pitchers.
No. I've played Stadium Ball and even with 335' fences that are 20' high, we still hit many out with 47 core 525's and Utrip bats. It's fun, but really not all that much of a challenge. Once you figure out that all you have to do is drive and it goes out...........It's relatively easy to do. An Ultra would just be stupid.
If its a true baseball field dimensions (325 lines out to nearly 400 in center) with a grass infield, then it should work out.
We thought about throwing a tourney with 11 inch girls balls with utrip bats, pitching screen and 11 fielders on a baseball field. Its 410 in center, 380 in gaps, 330 down lines. Down the lines, lots of guys can hit them out, but many are humbled when the balls go to center or the gaps.
Hitting it 400 feet with utrip bats and a girls ball can only be done by maybe 10% of weekend players under normal conditions. Remember the stats on this site are greatly inflated.
Really? We used Utrip bats and 47/525's at Avista Stadium in Spokane a couple of years ago and were hitting 8 to 10 a game, with infielders diving out of the way of some balls........It was only marginally safe. With Ultra's I would be afraid to even run the bases.
you must be a bunch of mashers then and belong on the stadium tour.
We take bp on a large baseball field occasionally and only a few balls are hit out each session with a mixture of beat up 47/525s and 44/400 balls. Granted its hot out and the wind is usually blowing in off the river too.
The girls balls fly but are not rated at 47/525 compression. I think they are 44/450.
