Bargain basement bats

I seemed to see more Easton's for bargain basement prices over the last few months. I ended up getting a Smack and Kapow for around $100. Both are good bats and mostly I need them for BP as I try to keep the hits off of my gamers.

I have 4 Easton 240s. All were $99 or less. Solid performers. Not absolute world beaters or anything, but very acceptable bats. Especially for that price.

Thing is an underrated bat, BTW. I have the balanced and endloaded one. For a bat that had ZERO popularity I feel like they're really good.

I've had bad luck with easton 240s, had 2 broken connections at 100ish swings(helmers), had a Thing handle telescope at 50ish swings and saw 2 break in half at the handle in a tournament, 1 barrel flew over the dugout and almost hit me. both that actually broke were the blue colored 240s that were 79 bucks, on eastons website, a while back

Really should've bought several of the anarchys while they were cheap

The second or third year Dudley Lightnings were out David Bowen Sporting Goods in Pensacola discounted them at their tent at a senior tournament. I bought 3 at $139 each.
The past couple of years I've been buying Easton Helmer Hitman44 at prices ranging from $49.99 to $99. I Have 3, two still in their wrapper.

The Hitman 44 is my cage bat. Got mine for $50. it's a tank that swings like a sledgehammer. well over 1000 swings with dimpled baseballs. barely a scratch on it.

I have 2 Things, a blue one and a yellow one. Neither have very many swings on them, but I haven't had any problems so far. They hit decent as well.

Just picked up a 2023 Worth Silverback for a great price. BP'd it the other night, put 200 swings on it using 52's and 44's. Pleasantly surprised. Great feel, pop and feedback. Don't hear too much about these bats.

Or the pure branches when they were 150. I bought two, but would like another or five now that they go for Genesis prices

the blue one with the soft knob telescoped about 50 swings in on a buddy after I sold in New to him. it was really good just sounded different.

Only place I saw that Silverback was in Viera at one of the trailers at USSSA worlds last year. They were $99. Viera is actually a great place to score cheap bats.

This past week at the Eastern Nationals I made the decision to swing my $49 Easton Hitman44 instead of my Suncoast Reload.
I'm glad I did! I battled .909 with 5 homeruns. :)
You guys play in Loudoun County? We’ve maybe hit 5 or 6 home runs over the fence as a team this weekend. Fields are huge at Brambleton Park (310-315 down the lines/ 365-385 to center) and these Baden Fire balls are turds.

Baden Fire senior balls aren't as good as the Stotes they used to use.

I have been checking around and have not seen any good bargains yet. Maybe towards the end of the season? I would like to add one more BP bat as I only have 1 right now + 2 game ready bats.

I think the manufacturer's/site are catching on and holding out longer than usual to blow out last yrs models

You won't find any yet. Probably not until November. Around black Friday everyone blows bats out. You'll find PLENTY of $99 (or less) options then.

I really like the Easton Smack bat that I got for $99 too. Unfortunately, I broke it in BP a few months ago. It was a better bat than I expected and wouldn't mind getting another one. It's sold out most everywhere. I did see one on a site, but not for $99.
