Repping the Vinci
No way I could dip my brand new Vinci in a bucket of water..
or any glove i've spent a decent amount of money on. It works great for Pro ball players who get new gloves free all the time as they are needed...

That's what I was thinking. HR would have had unlimited free gloves so he didn't have to worry about ruining his glove or messing the shape up.
Nice koppina! Just uploaded my quick vid of the shoe shine method. I'm not happy with it, but it serves the purpose. lol
ust me or does that look like a 19" glove lol
I just picked up a BV19 a couple of weeks ago. Thanks Smarkely3! Man this thing is a tank. I used a whole jar of the conditioner on the first application, and it all soaked in within about 12 hours. Did the shoe shine thing everyday, and was not getting anywhere. It was still so stiff that I could not even close the glove. I applied a second coat of conditoner last night, and it felt a little softer. Wrapped it up with a couple of large softballs. Will check on it tonight. I am hoping that I can get it broken in enough to play catch with soon so that I can use it sometime within the next month.
The BV19 is a tank of a glove.
Vaseline = Vinci Conditioner IJS
anyone have the hookup on the conditioner? PM me if you do, PP ready!!!
This sticky is great, i was about to start a post about Vinci's and best breaking in methods...... glad i used to search instead.
I just bought this one and cant wait to get her broken in.
REALLY? You can imagine im a little nervous putting vasoline on a 200 dollar glove....... not what i paid for it, but retail
Yeah, really...used it on mine. Just don't go slathering it on there like sunscreen on a hot day at the beach. Follow the Vinci protocol, It'll work just fine. Of course, you can buy the Vinci conditioner. If I can get mine back from a friend I'd send it to you.

If it makes you feel better I put it on my $319.99 Mizuno Pro, but like the other dude said not too much and follow the Vinci guidelines.
