Changes in the Past 10 Years...

Hi,

I've been overseas and in a PhD program for the past 10 years and started playing softball again.

I still use a 2007 era Miken Maniac which doesn't seem to have the same pop anymore. It could be that I'm just older and weaker lol.

As I get back into shape, I noticed that ASA approved is now USA approved bats? And 44 compression balls are not used as much apparently? Is that why I see more "flex" type of bats nowadays? If anyone can give me a rundown on general trends over the past 10 years, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

I’m assuming you’re noticing that players swings have gotten worse, but dramatically improved distance?

Buy a non-linear bat from 2020. That’s all you’ve missed. Bat technology is improved.
