Chicago new to area-looking

Hi all,
New to Chicago area and looking for rec and tournament teams in need. I am in my early 50s and played at a high level for years in Florida. Have been out of action for about a year since moving to Chicago. I live in Edgewater, but will travel for league and anywhere for tourneys. DM me and we can communicate by phone if easier.

You might want to try the FB groups or meetup.

There are tournaments weekly during the spring/summer months for USSSA/GSL. Almost all these tournaments are suburbs, Joliet or down state.

City Sport & Social and Players run the softball leagues downtown. Most are played on small crappy fields that have no fences and coincide with other outfields. You used be able to get on a team and sign up individually. If you ball out, no doubt you will get asked to play in other leagues.

From my experience, the leagues in the suburbs that have a higher level of competition but there are limited with teams/availability. Melas is one of the better leagues in the area and is located the west burbs.
