Flirting with the Idea of purchasing one. Initially based on padding my huge undeserved ego. Bat graphiced by me with my name on it, why not? Bailed on that idea decided to purchase a couple more Mikens, until the sales guy from custom-x told me that thier asa bat was built on a certain companys composite platform from 2008 with a really grim looking scary skull, that later was turned into a aluminium under the same name.

Anyone hit these or have an opinion on them?

So, Let me get this straight: Custom X bats are made by CE Composites? The same company that made the 08 Reaper?

I'd like to hear from somebody who has hit the O8 reaper and one of these....... interesting stuff here.

good luck finding that guy

Yeah, Probably not many people who have ordered one of these... $300 for a bat without a brand name. With that being said, if it really is the same bat with different graphics, This is a pretty cool deal.

I hit reapers although the stockpile is dwindling to just two 28oz one on the verge of cracking the other still fresh. Pretty much the only reason I am thinking about these bats is the " Claim ".

Well the only X-Bats on the ASA approved list are wood.... Just because they have a stamp, does not make it legal.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
this is not the same company.

Custom x bats do not appear on the approved list, and as such, are not approved for use within asa.

If they're putting the asa stamp on their bats without asa's approval, they're in a world of excrement.

oooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even better to know... When I was on the X bats website there was a link to Custom X bats, assumed they were related somehow but didn't look into it any further.
