Distance from homeplate

Does anyone know the distance from homeplate to the pitchers mound? This is for asa slowpitch mens softball. Reason why I ask is during practice we sorta guestimate the correct distance from home to the pitchers mound. An accurate distance would really help our pitcher out.

I really appreciate the feedback guys...i think we were maybe 5-8 feet off all this time. big difference. now the pitcher and the batters on my team can get realistic looks.

Out here in califas, they're drawing a box. 3' by 5'. Just to protect the pitcher. Pitchers are allowed to run back after release.

Pitchers are not only already allowed to retreat after the pitch, but step backward with the pitch everywhere.

Nothing new there.

Keep in mind that many leagues have moved the mounds back for safety. Most of the leagues I play in are now 55'. You have to throw pretty hard underhand just to get it there.

There are also plenty around that are still 46'.
