As you all know, in co-ed slowpitch when, with two outs, a male batter is walked, the next batter (female) has the option to bat or walk. My question is, does opting to walk count as a "pitch" for the purposes of appeals that must be made "before the next pitch"? For example if the male batter was batting out of turn, or missed 1st base when walking to 2nd, would the defence have to appeal before the next batter reached 1st base? Since she can go there straight from the dugout, that might be a very small window of opportunity!
