Any Fair or Foul?

Outfielder runs down a fly ball. He's in fould territory when the ball hits his glove. Ball bounces out and lands in fair territory. Is the ball fair or foul? I say fair, but the ump called it foul..other than the obvious being foul since the ump called it...haha...what SHOULD the ruling be?

makes no difference where the player is. if the ball is in/over foul ground when contacted, its a foul ball

Exactly. If the ball was over foul territory when the OF first touched it, it's a foul ball. /play.

I thought it would take the same play as a ball hit foul but curving back fair before hitting the ground. I've just never seen that happen before, usually compeition i play any can-o-corn is caught. this was in squadron play so it's basically the academy for the blind playing. Fun watching and laughing though.
