He said he asked around and was told it could be do to endload, but these are balanced bats…

I can’t find another example anywhere.

There was an endloaded Ultra2 model made but the barrel was red, not the knob.

I'd be willing to bet that, if you bought the bat, someone would raise a stink about it being a senior bat and eventually get it disallowed. I imagine the relative performance increase wouldn't be worth the money and headaches that could follow, especially with the limited use you'd likely get out of it.
