Help with custom fastpitch Rawlings catchers mitt

Ok, so trying to find the right combination and making sure I'm not making a mistake. Kid wants white/grey/black combo (I tried grey and tan like the proar44 Rizzo 1b glove and she won't bite) and I want something that will pop and look good when relaced (will have different colors for different seasons). Is there anything to consider other than where to use white and where not to? I was going to do white back, grey palm, black web and black binding, but the black binding doesn't always show well against different color laces. Considering white binding/black palm and if I go this route would you use JT dark shadow or standard black?

Also ordering with leather palm pad and stiff option. Once this thing is broken in, I want it to be perfect.

I’ve never built or owned a custom Rawlings catchers mitt myself but I’ve seen and handled one in Tan Jtan and it was over the top fantastic! Tan man, Tan! Or at least some kind of Tan accents.

Color of patches/logos, stitching, and embroidery?

This is exactly right, I’d absolutely avoid white! But….trust me, I know about girls and their gloves!

Pretty uncharacteristic of me here, but maybe this’ll give you a few ideas?

Sorry, I just can’t build a custom Rawlings without Tan laces and Gray split welting, my iPad won’t let me!

Also, finger pad or not?

Not trying to sound mean, but I'd quickly veto white as the paying parent. Just no. No white. As far as the leather palm pad and stiff option, be careful! Both of those sound good, but can make the pocket unwieldy and misshapen for any player but those with the largest and strongest hands.

All black glove, or one with an all grey (not dark shadow) shell with black web and binding would be the most durable and easiest to match. Either would look great with the silver logo patches.

Of course, this is my 2¢, YMMV.

plus the all black really makes any lacing changes pop! you can always work in multiple lace colors as well

Using white as an accent, not the palm.

And ironically she will only use her Mizuno Global Elite orange/tan glove in the field. She’s definitely a girl who knows what she likes and the catchers mitt will be black/grey/white.

If I end up with black palm and/or web, what’s the feeling between the black leathers offered?

Mitt will have leather palm pad and no finger pad.

of the 3, i would go option 1. the more white you start with, the more dingy orange/brown you'll end up with.

also, i would actually push for a black or gray fingerpad with that white back. spot will end up black anyways

Do you know on the pro ar44 what version of brown it is? tan or golden brown?
