I had one.....didnt know there was a difference. I have now owned 6 2nd batch. Various weights and hts. Two of the 2nd had well over 800 ht.While both were excellent bats, the 1st batch outdistanced them... by 15 feet.
I play on 300 fields so 1st batch= over, both 2nds= 1 hop or off the fence.
Both Batches Are Great Bats THough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
