4-6 strips of tape up each side of the flat part of the grip and a knobcuff = good feeling bat even with Overlap. I had the Utrip and wish I had never traded it away.

actually i used the left over epoxy putty i had. built it up over the flat parts and sanded it round. its a little thicker, like a mutant handle, but its round. i think the actual diameter of the handle was like that originally, you just didn't notice it with 2 sides being flat. only added a .5oz to the overall weight, but did balance the bat out.
