Follow us on Facebook under Phoenix Superdraft and stay up to date on the latest information.

Ok, here's the information you've all been waiting for. Last day for registration is 2/28/12 after that you will be on a wait list. There is limited space since I need to fit all the games in one day. Last Superdraft had 144 participants from 10 different states.

Who- All living breathing human beings are welcome to join. If you have a pulse and glove be ready to play.

What - Superdraft Style - think of when you were a kid and you had to choose up teams from everyone that wanted to play. We're going back to basics, we're playing to just play. No NIT Berth, no roster checks, nothing, just play the game and make some new friends.

When - Saturday, March 24th 2012 (You have 3 months to clear your schedule for that weekend).

Where - Riverview Park, Mesa AZ (Phoenix Metro) 2100 W. 8th St.
Mesa, AZ 85201 (8th St., west of Dobson). Airport code is PHX (Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport). There is also Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (AZA) which has 2 airlines Allegiant Air which has some ridiculous low rates if you live by one of the hubs they serve.

How Much - $35 per person if paid by February 1st , 2012* (T-shirt, will work on other stuff as those who've attending in the past can attest to). The fee will go up to $40 per person after that. This is your incentive to pay early. Sorry folks but every year I get the majority (60 to 70%) of signups in the two weeks leading up to the deadline. It makes it very hard to plan everything out properly with some of the sponsors. No prepayment this year no guaranteed spot. I can't keep fronting money for guys who don't show, also not fair to take a spot away from someone who otherwise would show. If you don't have paypal, contact me and other arrangements can be made.

Whyhttp://www.4thefallen.org - will be up soon
“4 The Fallen” is a 501 C(19) Non-profit veteran organization and all contributions in the form of equipment and money are a write-off for the donors. A part of the organization which will be used as a recruiting vehicle as well as the hands on portion of the organization is a Softball Team. The team is made up of members of the Armed Forces Softball community as well as softball players which are descendants of Military Veterans and will honor wounded warriors in each softball venue that it participates in. The team will play in 8 Conference USSSA tournaments as well as multiple World Series if qualified. We will honor over 25 Wounded Veterans from 12/11/11 through 10/05/12 in ASA tournaments as well as other special events with Military Personnel, members of the U.S. Government, and celebrities. Additionally, the organization provides Wounded Veterans family assistance in the form of tuition, basic expenses, special services costs, and transportation assistance.

Here's what you will get for your $35.

4 game guarantee*

Superdraft Tshirt - because that's what everyone plays for, so you get one no matter what. WOOHOO!
Evil Ball - every participant will receive one to be used during the day. Up to you to keep it, you need to chase your HR balls.

Remember to include your SBF screen name, shirt size, position, and level of play. Level of play is based on actual tournament play not leagues. If you have never played tournament ball or have only played E's you should list yourself as E/Rec. If you are unsure of your level of play you should list yourself as E/Rec. The reasons are simple, always easier to exceed expectations then fail to live up to them. If you list yourself to high it throws off the balance of the teams and makes for lopsided play.

If you're not sure about how much fun you'll have the guys that have played the last few years will hopefully chime in.

Rules -
Round Robin games will be 55 mins -
Bracket Tournament games will be 1hr limit. - Bracket Style and Seeding will be determined by Round Robin games.
Championship will not have a time limit.

Run Rule is 15 after 5, you’re here to play and have fun.

For now all approved NSA/ASA/USSSA bats will be allowed for this event. I can't make guys go buy new bats to play in a Superdraft so swing what you own. Please note some fields might have bats provided if it is dictated by the Sponsor(s)

There is absolutely no Senior or Altered/Shaved bats allowed. If I suspect you are using one or get enough complaints about one I will ask you to remove it from play. My guess is that every team will have 12-15 bats in their dugout so this will not be an issue. It hasn't been the last 4 years so let's keep this event clean.

HR rules will be 2 HRs per game, with the special twist again this year. The 5th inning will be unlimited HRs for that inning (think money ball). So if you're up in the 5th swing away. This will allow teams an opportunity to catch up if they are behind.
The teams are usually pretty evenly matched as long as everyone is honest with their level of play designation for the draft.

1 pinch runner per inning per team.

Pitching arc is 3ft from release to 12ft max (USSSA release to old ASA ceiling basically). Pump fakes, convulsions, seizures, and unworldly dance moves are all allowed.
Plate and Mat will be used and be considered a strike. Did you really play in a Superdraft to take a walk?

Friday Night Lights -
BP, HR Derby, Middle Shot contest will be at Mountain Vista Park off Ray Rd Exit 159 on Interstate 10 from 6pm to 10pm. Please join us, all proceeds from Friday night will go to 4 The Fallen.

*Disclaimer - weather permitting unfortunately

I know some of you know that I've always tried to do my best to help out someone in need with the event every year. This year we are going to try something different and help what I think is a great new organization.

4 the Fallen will be taking orders for shirts as well here is an example of what they will look like.

They will be $50 prepaid and delivered to you at the event. I'll take the order and pass the money along to them.
The only difference is that they have no name or number on the back.
the USA and bugular player will be moved to the middle, that is the retail jersey. They wanted to make the jerseys that the actual players wear a unique jersey. The only people that would get the jersey with a name and number would be a player on the team or a Wounded Warrior that they are honoring. Hope this makes sense to everyone.

Everyone who wants a shirt paypal $50 (gifted or add 3%) to [email protected]

Tell me the size that you want.

I will collect and pass along for them.
