We played a team in league last Fall that provided pink ASA 52/300 core Tattoo balls for game play. (In our league home team provides the game balls) for me it wasn't a big issue but was curious if this is a legal ball or is there something in ASA rules that states that the balls must be optic yellow. league rules had nothing about ball color and umpires asked if we objected because that's all they had to use.. I remember when all softballs were white. I was pitching and had no problems seeing the hits but my shortstop and third baseman said it was harder to track the grounders...
