This is in honor of my Father, who was a born and raised in Canada and remained a citizen til the day he passed. Legal resident of the US but always wished he could return home. This was the last mitt he bought for me in high school, 1989)

Amazing to me how well this glove held up.
I played 1B and pitched. That glove was used almost everyday for at least 3-4 years.
Practice, indoor outdoor, etc. Plus I didnt know anything about cleaning the gloves, preserving them, etc.

Sidenote, I used nothing but old school Shaving cream when it got dry.
Good Old Barbisol.

Hey, my son was 1b/pitcher! His glove was a 11.75" Pro200-11 and mitt was a Wilson A2000-1883 (listed as 12.5", but measures 1/2" bigger than a DCT). How quickly it comes and goes, he's already a junior in college!

I'm really liking that PRO-1005. They were advertised as 12 1/2", but mine measures 12". Mine looks to be an Oct '94 with Gutmann leather. Yours looks to have thicker, more supple leather. Mine seems to amplify the impact of the ball - or did until I put a pad in it (posted somewhere above). The 2 PRO-1005E (Gold Glove Elite) I have are truer to 12 1/2", and have thicker, and softer leather. I searched for one of these for years before I found one.

It was pretty nice. I wish it came in in better shape originally. But it was def a high end glove, excellent padding, craftsmanship and leather. Very smooth, sturdy, but not exceptionally thick either. Pretty lightweight.

This one turned out nicely. Its a relace for a a board member. I think it turned out great. THe leather is nice, still supple, I feel this one plays around 12", to maybe 12.25". The PRO-1005's are such a nice baseball model. THe fastback holds the fingers firm and keep the glove to a nice shape.

And the Gold Glove Elite PRO-1005 at a true 12 1/2" is a great softball pattern! The first PRO-1005E I bought had almost been ruined by whatever a previous owner used on it. I could wring moisture out of the web when I first got it. It just disintegrated. The rest of the glove was stiff in a strange cardboardy way. It's taken years of work to get it to where I feel comfortable using it, which I rarely do. The second one shows very little use, and the leather is thick and soft. I'd have to remove some of the excessive padding in the heel before I would use it, but I have no plans to do so.
