Question about the Freak Plus.....

Why is this bat not as saught after? In my personal opinion once broken in it is one of the best ever made.....I have never had a bat that was as durable and as hot as the freak plus.

Btw I am looking for another 28oz....

Because everyone want the newest, biggest, baddest bat that is going to help them hit moonshots. They don't want to have an outdated bat even if it is a proven winner. It's all about buying into the "hype" that this new bat is going to hit better then anything else out there. Sad, but true. It's no different then when you talk to golfers about drivers.

That and there is no shortage of them on the market. With all the runs of them that they made there is no reasob for prices to be high.

Alot of people buy the new bats because they are new. Some of the OGs are still better in my opinion as well.

Agreed, it is my personal favorite as well. It is a great bat and for the combo of pop+durability it could be as good as it gets. That is probably why it has been available continuously since 2004 can't really think of another bat that has had that kind of run.

I had a 27oz for about 150 swings and it was the first bat I cranked a homerun left-handed with in co-Ed. I just can't swing an endload so I traded for a balanced MV1

They are a great bat. I have had one in the bag for a couple years now. Play mainly ASA but love to break out the Freak+ when I can!!

The Freak Plus is IMO the best bat Miken ever produced. I've had several and loved every one. I swing a MV-1 currently, and although it is a great bat, the 1 oz endload will get a bit heavy after a long tournament.

For under $180.00 delivered, you cannot beat the Freak Plus.

Although, I must admit I did bust my last one in under 350 swings which had me full of disappoint.

Great bat and it was my favorite for about 5 years .. then .. i bought a Super Freak .. wan't too impressed at first ... but .. after 1 season the bat was unbelievable .. even better than my Freak Plus ... but still .. FReak PLus is a great bat .. and for the price it's a great deal

I have had 2 of the super freaks....although they seem just as hot not one of them lasted me more then 250 swings....thus making my ranking under the freak plus

wow .. you've had some bad luck with Super Freaks .. i've had mine 3 years .. i use it in Fall Ball when the temps are in the 40's .. use it in BP .. other guys on the team use it ... mine is very durable, has over 1000 swings easily .. i guess i got lucky .. got a good one ..

I was hit and miss with the Freak +. The NR I first got was hot. Loved it. The next 3 never did seem to open up. Good bat for the price. But definitely not the best Miken has made. I had the same luck with the super freaks. A friend of mine had one that was absolutely nasty. Of course it had about 1200 hits on it when I broke it. The one a guy on my team in ISA had one that was ok. Not as hot but was still great. I bought one that never did open up. Sold it after 600 or more hits on it.

Do not buy one new from a vendor with a receipt, find one in good shape on here with a 4/5/6/7 serial number, you'll get much better results
