Rawlings Hand Sewn Welting - Benefit?

So, as I start to dream about my next glove (thinking a tan Pro504 / basket web / Green laces & welting), I’ve noticed the trend for hand sewn welting among players and that even Rawlings has started to offer it as an option on customs. Is there an advantage to
Hand sewn welting or is it just a fashion/style trend?

I’m fairly certain that hand sewn welting makes the finger stalls roomier, thus people who go two in pinkie require it.

As more people switch to TIP to better accommodate a 12” slowpitch softball, the hand sewn welting on the glove becomes more desirable.

Thank you! This is helpful. Sounds like a cool new feature in the custom builder, but, since I play traditional and like my finger stalls as tight as possible, it may not be for me.
