How many hits should it take to break in? Ive put about 50-100 hits on mine, and its starting to show very faint webbing, but doesnt quite feel broke in yet. I dont want to waste hits in BP

IMO you should see improvement at the 500-600 hit mark.... Webbed up with a small rattle = GTG

probably not broken-in unless it feels broken-in, should be hitting rockets when it gets there. my 27oz took a lot of hits to get the distance...keep swinging

You'll know when it gets really good when the barrel feels like a springboard. It depends on the ball you are using but I've seen the magic number to be around 500. My buddy's lasted about 1500 swings, mostly with good NSA balls.

Yeah, it depends on what you mean by broken in. For me it's broken in when I can get the balls beyond 300' with 80% effort...this took about 450-500 cuts for me...

Thats about what I had been hearing, about 500-600. The faint webbing on mine threw me off. Thanks for the info guys

Mine has 125 cuts on it with some webbing and some tire tread webbing. But it's good and gamer status now. It's a nr so I'm babying it

id say and most will agree that your looking roughly 400 swing to get it to open up.... the S1 is more durable that most people think!

I thought mine was hot after 50, no webbing or ugliness, can't imagine how it will be if it hits another gear, I feel comfortable gaming it right now.

^^^ mine looks nothing like that and already has a loud crack. So much so that I've put it away for games only.

I've seen a couple that hardly webbed at all and then cracked. Begs had one that had no webbing hardly at all and then cracked RIGHT after webbing started showing up. It seems that there is a bit of a difference in the flex additive in the paint on some of these.
