I just ordered a custom Vinci BMB-OB that I am liking a lot. I lost my Rawlings 1st base glove (gold glove middle of the road model) and now have an Akadema. Maybe I will order a Vinci to match my BMB-OB.
The rawlings got very floppy but was good for a couple years. The Akadema feels kind of cardboardy....hard to explain, but does not feel like high quality leather.

PRODCT Made in USA. I have not seen a 1B glove like that ever even a Vinci. Also, the OG Pro Preferred 1B glove is right next to the Made in the USA proDCT

i have had a rawlings gold glove for 14 years i bought an easton and also had a nakona ended up right back to my rawlings but i bought a diaz (before i became a rep) and love it....nice deep pocket stays firm.....i was so impressed with the product i asked to become a rep....125 custom or 100 stock black

It was a little pricey. But it's the sickest 1b mitt I have ever owned. Swenson WL-40. I've been playing 1B since high school (10 years) and it's by far the best pocket. Scoops by itself. Great mitt. Got mine in Black & tan.

Honestly, it is the onyl high quality first base mitt I have ever seen or used so I can't comment on the other glvoes people are promoting. They are probably nice in their own right but I can only comment on the JVB-SB and tell you it is an amzing glove and I have never had anyone disappointed once they got it. Perfect size and it develops a nice pcoket. If you can't make the play with the JVB-SB you might want to start catching!

3 years ago I got a wilson A2000 baseball 1b glove. It was Amazing for 1 year of baseball. I decided softball was more fun for the time invested and started using it for 1b and when I pitched. worked great for 2 years of catching lasers up the middle and heaters thrown to 1b, but now it seems to soft and really hard fast balls can spin out of the glove now. I never put softener on it because I heard they can get to soft quick if you do it to much. For a 200$ glove it wore out to quick, but break in was real quick.
