I just picked up a Made in USA A2000-XLO. Leather is nice but the og laces need to be redone.
I can't find a date code on it anywhere.....not on the outside of pinky or thumb or the underside of the wrist strap.
The really thin laces and metal heel lace grommets make me think it's from the 70's
Anyone know how to tell for sure when this glove was made?

Look for a 2-letter stamp near the thumb loop knot
First Letter: J=1976, K=1977, A=1978, B=1979, C=1980, D=1981, E=1982, F=1983, G=1984, H=1985
Second Letter: Z=JAN, Y=FEB, X= MAR, W=APR, V=MAY, U=JUN, T=JUL, S=AUG, R=SEP, P=OCT, O=NOV

In the photo below "BZ" stands for "1979 JAN"

As another example, the glove in this video has a date code of CV

thanks for the date code decoder and for taking time to find the pic and vid.
I have looked mine over closely in good light and cannot find the 2-letter code on it.

Well, by looking through all the catalogs I could find on-line, I answered my own question best it can be answered....
First year of the XLO was 1975.
In 77 the web design changed to the "anchored open T web" like mine has.
So, mine is from somewhere around 77-81 or so
