Talks of Combat buying out Easton?

301' Bombs
There is some talk on facebook about it.. Someone said this..

Bauer bought combat, then combat bought the Easton group.....Nike is at the Monopoly game again!!

Combat is owned by Bauer. Bauer is tied in with Nike. Combat has money being fused into them by the larger companies.

Am i just really gullible?

I've heard that they are looking to take over Easton's helmets, but I have no idea.

From what I have read here and elsewhere, Bauer already has an agreement to buy Easton's bat division (whatever it is officially called). Coop posted a thread not too long ago talking about it.

Not new news but all lines will more than likely be able to operate individually as normal but now they have better backing and funding.

The Madness
Almost hard to believe that Easton's baseball/softball division's annual revenues are only $330 million.

Since it isn't a tech company I'm assuming a valuation of 0.8 to 1.0x annual revenues. Between the brand, patents and customer base (store "doors") that seems like a good deal.

Nobody wants the helmet biz. Too much potential legal exposure.
