My Fulk did the same thing. Couldn't find the receipt, couldn't find a crack. I I opened it up, cracked from the inside. Could be the case for you also.

There is an entire sticky at the top to read about Batch Numbers. You can get all kinds of numbers, but it's not just the numbers that scream "1st Batch", "Second Batch", "3rd Batch".
