Zepp Sensor. I got one for Christmas and have taken a couple hundred swings with it. It can very accurately measure your hand speed and your bat speed upon impact.
My favorite softball related work out is using a weight sled once a week. It has really helped me improve my speed and accceleration. As far as routine goes, lift 4 days a week, run 4 miles 2 days a week, cages on the day before game.
Struck out swinging on a full count pitch. I let my nerves get the best of me and swung at a pitch way outside of the strike zone. The pitcher did not throw many strikes. I walked in my other 3 plate appearances (2 of which were on 3 pitches).
