Its not an ASA mechanic. But yeah almost all USSSA umps and many ASA Umps do use that signal.

No they dont or shouldnt give descriptions on where the pitch was....figure it out its not that hard. Ball strike illegal.

There was an ASA memo, i think irish posted it, that says the black will be considered part of the plate. Leave IT to USSSA to make the umpire distinguish wether it its black or white....lol

The bottom line is, for the most part slow pitch softball players are big babys. The umps dont get to call a rule book strike or the temper tantrums start. Like stated above 6 foot is nothing and umos cant call that or else and pitches just under the back shoulder? LMAO good luck on that...

No...... its up to the player to know how many outs there are. It doesnt matter how many outs the umpire mistakenly thinks there is.
