Super World Berths for 2012:

NIT's:
2-11 teams - 1 berth
12-23 teams - 2 berths
24+ teams - 3 berths

State's:
2-15 teams - 1 berth
16-23 - 2 berths
24+ - 3 berths that pass no further than any team with a 2-2 or better record.

We will be adding space on the rosters to have 3 coaches sign and those signed
coaches and players on roster will be the only ones allowed on the field to
coach bases.

New Paper Roster bylaw:

Very few rule changes:
Illegal glove or mitt involved in a play - Adding penalty to the rule.

Uniform Rule - Once a team has won home team by uniform rule, said team must remain in compliance for the duration of the game. No player not in uniform will be allowed to play at anytime during the game.

Courtesy Runner rule: The courtesy runner can be any player on the team roster.A courtesy runner may be used once per inning, per team. The courtesy runner will be identified to the umpire before play resumes. Once play resumes - (time is released) that courtesy runner will be officially entered. If that courtesy runner comes to bat while on base, it is an out. The courtesy runner may not be substituted for. A defensive team may walk to get to that out.
*** This just addresses when the courtesy runner becomes officially on the base.***

Clean up of Batter/runner is awarded first base. This under base-runner in contact is hit with a batted ball while in contact with base.

Senior divisions (exception not in 40+ or 45+) will be permitted to use the
Senior bats with the use of the 52/275 softball only.

40 and 45 over classes will now be in the Senior program.

Same weekend - Upper and Lower
Different weekend - OPEN Division

OPEN - Everyone is eligible
Upper - No more than 3 Men's Class "B" or higher players allowed

* Player that have played on a Class B in current or previous season will not be eligible for the Lower Division.
** Players not on a current NSA or any prior roster will be classified by the
state director with the exception; a. Any player listed on another Association
current Major player list or any list that deems the highest classification of
that association will not be allowed in the Lower or Upper Division. they must
play Open. b. Any player on a prior NSA roster, but not on a current roster,
cannot be classed any lower than where they could have played in the current
season. Example - Player that played "B" in 2006 and has not played since, can only be classed as a Class "C" or higher for the 35+ program.

35+ Home Run Rule:

Gettin' Zapped!
I'd love to see Super C be in Columbus, OH. They will now have 8 turf fields. That would be awesome to play on! Now that I think of it... I'd love to see Columbus steal the Bash for Cash. No worries of rain making the infields a disaster? Sounds like a win to me! Oh wait... that's a WSL/USSSA item. Either way, point for Mike and Columbus :)

Slinging Nova Bombs
we played at Berliner last year for the NSA D world... those fields are fantastic. Only bad thing was a couple of the fields had big drop offs once you got off the turf to the OF.

NSA usually gives a pretty long notice if any equipment specifications are changing. If anything was to change before the 2012 season you probably would have heard about it already...like a year ago. The change to end multi-layer ball construction has been out there for quite awhile.
