2023 ASA/USA T Work Softball Bat Reviews

Took some preliminary hacks but these are the ones I took today.

Just out of Rotator Cuff surgery end of March. Some kinks to work out and seemed to aggravate a hand injury on same RH Hand as shoulder.

Hit 6 balls each on these:
2017 Monsta OG DNA 27oz
2023 Pure Hellfire 27.5 oz
2023 Easton Resmondo 28oz
2023 Proton Series 2 Neon 27oz

Distance lacking due to being out of commission and mechanics off.

However the Proton2 with no swings and only these 6 balls out did the competition. Resmondo felt 2nd best, followed by Hellfire and then the OG.

Proton with Fib had a different sound compared to Monsta Could be due to different composition of the bat.

As I said still need to work out kinks and continue to get more shoulder strength.

7 Hits Each with 1xtra Tie Breaker if needed.

1pt: 1 Hopper
2pt: Gatecrasher
3pt: OTF

Winner was Proton 2 ASA with tie breaker win against Resmondo.
20230716_192321.jpg
Proton 6pts
Resmondo 5pts
Pure Evil 4pts
Hellfire 3 pts

Still ways to go as not one gatecrasher.

Evil felt good with still in wrapper and hit some knucklers. Proton 2 is good to go and only has 15 cuts on it. Damn wish I was healthy to see what it can really do!
Resmondo performed well again and I think SYB is onto something with these bats. With my slower swing speed right now the bat is hitting better than I expected. The Hellfire it isn't and I think Pure is getting better with each release and EVIL may rise!

What’s the weight on the Resmondo?
Nice new sticks can’t wait to see more.
28oz on the Resmondo. Yeah I went a little off the deep end. Once near 100% will start swinging some others.

Worth Supercell
Monsta Alloy Handle Galaxy
Pure SkyBolt
LS Slugger Inertia / Mashburn.

Some others. Sold some but I seriously have a bat problem.

The 27oz Proton2 made me look like I was 💯 % yesterday. Out of Wrapper one of the best feeling bats ever, IMO. Went 343 and one ball I hit, comment from my teammate was like "damn how much farther would you have hit that ball if healthy". I can't wait to answer it!

Took 8 swings each. Point System with HR (3pts) Gatecrasher (2pts) one hop to fence (1pt)
20230727_182701.jpg

Backlash: 10pts, 2 OTF
Cluggy: 7pts, 1 OTF
PurEvil: 5 pts, 1 gatecrasher
Busch: 4pts

Shoulder getting better with more flexibility in which showed since I finally got some over 300 today.

Wanted to put the Evil against some bats that are basically game ready.
2 miss hits of 8 swings and finished 3rd but those that pointed felt good off the barrel. The sound is deceiving because @ times felt like I didn't square but the result was I did

Backlash is ready for bat bag. There is some flex on these and wish there wasn't but hits the ball great right now. Mine has approximate 150 swings on it.

Busch is as Anarchys are. Gave to my over 50 Buds and they must have put about 400 hits in BP, performance is getting better.

Cluggy was a recent Ebay buy. Well broken in and one a board bro mentioned is GTG. He was right.

Matrix is Senior 30 oz Monster going to be used this weekend in Over 40 Tournament. When new this thing was stiffer than a ......
But now Boom Stick. Hit one over on a 10 ft line drive

I hope Easton figures it out on the ASA side. How many swings on the resmondo?

7 Hits Each with Pure Line ASA

Early swings was baby-ing shoulder as I didn't stretch. After a round of 3 hits on each bat decided to just swing angry. Last 4 balls each and if I had to rate them it would be:

Hellfire
Jericho
Evil
Bolt

Each has a bit more hits than the next one in line. Which tells me they need some work to get going. I for one was about to give up on the Hellfire. However, after hitting 2 in area of picture attached, will hold off.

Lol, this year been a little rough with work and shoulder story. But I do try to get them in game situations. Last years 2022 Season Bat swings where I focused on one bat more than the others. This year will try to rotate more.

Clearly I have an addiction.

Winner was the ASA Genesis with 9pts. Had 2 gated. Next was a tie between the Evil and Skybolt with 7pts and then Jericho with 4pts. Could not put one out. :(

Honestly not good swings from me as I was upper cutting most with pop-ups. The PURE Line has me perplexed. Times where it's like hell yeah that was smoked to then the next one fluff like a pillow.

Probably @ 80% physically as around the 60 mark the bats started to feel heavy and I could feel my body running out of fuel.

You notice any difference between the evil and sky bolt?

Took out all the Pure again.

After first 10 swings of each was still underwhelmed. Started to analyze the last few swings and where was I hitting the barrel. Realized I was to far from the T. Made adjustment and walla started hitting the middle of barrel and the pad was engaging more if we can call it that.

Also finally hit some out with the Evil in which got 2 over (longest pic) and the Jericho gated 2. The others gated in last round of 10 as well.

Was starting to worry about myself. Will see if I can get the rhythm back on next round. Want to get these to gamer status. The Evil is almost!

The evil took around 300 swings to open up for me. Sound changed a little at the 250 mark

Uncle Mosk ...do you still have a Pure Sidewinder to add in for a comparison to the Pure Evil? I think you had one earlier in the year that you tried out.... I'm curious of your opinion between the 2 bats? 😇

I do. Let me look to put into the rotation. Then will give fair assessment, or @ least mine.

16 Swings Each w Point System

1pt: 1 Hopper
2pt: Gatecrasher
3pt: OTF

Backlash 11pts with 1 OTF 1 GC
Hellfire 9 pts
Proton 7 pts
GhostM 6 pts

Better consistency today with more line drives in which I need to get back into for my game swing.

Ghost is Ghost not more to say. Again for those who hit line drives recommended and if clincher even better.

Proton2 (ahem Monsta) will need more to open up but when hit on screws the ball screamed.

Hellfire the 1st Pure ASA is a decent bat. One that I think is more for those who don't want a heavy endload and have great bat control.

Unclemosk do you have any bats for sale that are good for 52/300 balls . Broke a new monsta on these balls and never bought the warranty . My fault i guess . Also any for sale that a good for 44 core balls . Thanks for your time.

Weight preference?

Like 26 or 27
Will see what I have I usually swing heavier. If using 44's would recommend Anarchy or Suncoast Backlash from the newer models. Otherwise older ASA allowable bats pre Monsta are the way to go.
