4 Outfielders, or 3 with a Short Fielder?

Combat Sports had a video about how to play the "Wheel" (5 infielders). My tournament team used it on occasion and had enough success that we went to it on occasion. Often we would play the wheel until it quit working and then go back to a normal configuration.
Major points as I remember from the video. 1.Your pitcher needs to pitch so that the hitters are likely to hit into the strength of the defense. (Pitch inside to rightie when you have 3 infielders on the left side of the infield). 2. Outfielders don't have to be super fast but have at least decent speed.
Consider your talent. If you fewer good outfielders and more good infielders, then give the wheel a shot.
