Another "Painted My Pitching Helmet" Thread

I think it turned out pretty good overall. It's not perfect but its good enough for me. Here's the step by step photo progression.

2. Did you just use basecoat and No clear?....or was this done with aerosol can?

Its a Worth pitchers helmet. I got one for a teammate last year and it saved his grill piece a couple of times.

Looks like spray paint, which isn't a bad thing. You just should have done a primer coat or 3 to fill in your sanding grooves. The blue would have looked less textured and popped out more, followed by a clear coat.

I dig it man. I dont know how much experience you have in painting but any Do it yourself project is g2g in my book.

I Agree. Any Do it yourself is G2G also. I was trying to give him a hard time about the colors( I HATE UF) . Now that I see his avatar, the colors are legit.

I was NOT trying to give him a hard time about how it was done thou. Just askin. Ive been painting cars for most of my adult life and Paint work always Jumps out at me.

It is a rattle can job. The texture you see is more orange peel than sanding lines. It's a couple coats of blue followed by 4 coats of clear. The clear looks better in person.


And for the record, I hate the Florida Gators. They're my team colors. There are other teams with those colors like Boise State and the Mets.

Mets were the first team that came to mind.. Looks good man.

For a Rattle can Job id say it Looks Damn Good bro. Its Not easy slicking out aerosol without running it. id say u did pretty good.
