Avarice and different batches

First off, I love my Avarice utrip...bought it last season and fell in love. But, heard rumors of its 'durability' so I picked another one up awhile later as a back up. Still, my first one is holding up pretty good (a little webbing), but it webbed pretty quick. I've heard something about there being different batches....the latter being less hot, but more durable. Is this true? How can I tell what my NIW might be? Serial no.? Identifying marks?

Any help would be great. Just curious if I've got a beast sitting in my closet.

The latter is just as hot...it just takes a little longer to get there.

The other batches get just as hot like Hebrew said. If it is a shiny sticker on the knob its a later batch. First batches had bubble sticker. My first batch date was Sept 8, 2011. Easiest way to tell is the flat sticker/bubble sticker. I've owned about 5 or 6 avarices.
